WHS announcement:
The Eisenhower Academy

The Eisenhower Academy, and institute for middle and secondary school teachers, will be held from August 5-10, 2001 at Gettysburg College and the Eisenhower National Historic Site, Gettysburg College, and Mount St. Mary's college, the Academy will focus on Dwight D. Eisenhower as president and world leader, as well as the events and life-styles of the 1950s economics, and popular culture. Field trips will include a visit tot he Eisenhower home and other sites. Participants will have the opportunity to interview Eisenhower friends and family members and use primary source documents, film, video footage, and the Internet as research and learning tools.

The total cost of the Academy (which includes field trips, special evening events, lodging, and all meals) is only $425 per person (double occupancy) or $460 per person (single occupancy).
