Get Ready for Election Year 2008!

Whether or not you have an avid interest in politics, the 2008 U.S.
National Elections have demanded worldwide attention. In the critical
weeks prior to Election Day, Dr. Todd Belt will discuss key issues in the
election process, analyze the candidates and make projections based on
popular appeal, issue positions, campaign strategy, elite endorsements,
campaign finance and electability. The last class meets the day after the
elections for a final discussion on the outcomes and possible implications
for our country. In addition to the presidential election, crucial races in the
national House and Senate elections will be discussed.
