INTRODUCTION TO CRYSTALLOGRAPHY--Crystallization, Twinning, and Defects |
|
Nesse: p. 79-81 crystal growth (up to zoning) p. 84-90 on crystal defects and twinning.
Understand how diffusion, availability, nucleation sites, and kinetics influence crystal growth. Especially how the shape of a crystal may change during growth. Make sure that you understand the differences between the types of crystal defects and twin types.
