WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
How the ordered structure of a mineral relates to a lattice, be able to define lattice
Know what the unit cell is and how it is used to construct the internal mineral structure
The Bravais lattices. You should know the major types of bravais lattices (that is the relationships between axis length and angles). You should know the the major cell types--primitive, body centered, face centered, and all face centered. You don't have to know which crystal systems these occur in, but you should be able to recognize them given a figure.
