SHUTTING DOWN THE MICROPROBE

10. SHUT DOWN THE HIGH VACUUM DIFFUSION PUMP.

  • Check the Vacuum Control Gauge and make sure that all of the switches match the L.E.D. panel on the orange door.
  • If a red light is on for a pump (DP, P1, P2) or valve (V1, V2, V4, V5), the corresponding switch should be in the up position.
  • If the light is off, the switch is down.
  • Also make sure that the stage switch is in the raised position and the Sample Chamber is up.
