Focus the image on the Microprobe by using the X,Y, and Z knobs Flip up the power supply switch, lower lefthand corner. Check to see if the "AREA" button is pushed in on the SEM Console, under the section "Scan Mode". Make sure all of the switches match the arrows on the BSE. Verify that the "MIX" button is pushed in, upper lefthand corner of SEM Console. To adjust the contrast and brightness of the SEM Monitor, use the knobs on the BSE. To adjust how long a picture appears on the SEM Monitor, push in the "2" or "4" buttons located under the section "Seconds / Frame" on the SEM Console. SENDING THE BSE IMAGE TO THE COMPUTER Push the "EXT" Button on the SEM Console, under the section "Scan Mode". On the desktop of the computer, double click on the "MICROPROBE PROGRAMS" folder then double click on the "MicroImage" icon. Adjust the size of your image by clicking on "SETUP" from the menu bar and then click on "IMAGE SIZE... ". Choose the appropriate size for your image and click OK. Once you have finished making of all your adjustments, Click on "ACQUIRE" from the menu bar and choose "SINGLE" to get your image. |
