Inside of the UH Geology building, classrooms are small. The student to teacher ratio is also small.  Teachers are able to provide more one on one mentoring to their students. Students are seen working inside the classrooms with microscopes. Outside, a small group of students are learning how to use a leveling gun. In a lava field, students are examining various rocks. At a waterfall, other students are mapping rock formations.
