Ahalanui Park
Swimmers love this warm pond.
The ocean enters the pond through a narrow channel, seen on the right, to create a delightful mixture of cool salt water and warm fresh water in the Ahalanui Pond. The pond is warm because it is over Kilauea's east rift zone.
