Education and Outreach
The Center for the Study of Active Volcanoes (CSAV) is a training and outreach program. CSAV's mission is to provide education and information on volcanic and natural hazards that occur in Hawaii and worldwide. This is done through a variety of programs, including a summer volcanology field camp in Hawaii, and a series of public outreach programs that include visiting schools on the Big Island to provide information about natural disasters.
