Public Outreach
Public Outreach is one of the most important programs of CSAV, and it's also one of the most enjoyable.
My job incluldes assisting with pubic seminars, teacher training workshops, and school visits.
I conduct regular school visits at Keakealani Outdoor Education Center (KOEC) in Volcano Village. Classes of 6th graders from around the Big Island stay at KOEC to learn about nature and science, and I provide a one-hour presentation on volcano hazards that features model "volcanoes" and a Fashion Show.
