Media Projects

After I had been working with CSAV for a few years, I realized that video would be an excellent way of communicating. FEMA generously funded a project to create a video called Earthquake and Volcano Hazards on the Island of Hawaii. Some years later, CSAV collaborated with the Pacific Tsunami Museum to create He'e Nalu, a video comparing surfing waves with tsunamis, and illustrating why people should stay far inland when a tsunami heads our way.

Over the years, CSAV has acquired an extensive archive of video footage and still photographs of local disasters, ranging from earthquakes to floods to windstorms.
