At another symposium for earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, Decker answers an audience member's question about forecast and prediction.  "Realize that weather forecasts are not 100 percent accurate and yet are useful. So I think we can come to those same terms in forecasting volcanic eruptions," Decker explains. Decker also goes on to say, "I certainly encourage council and political bodies to call in people as consultants." Decker also jokes with the audience, "I'm certainly willing to do this, I don't work for anybody anymore!"
