New accounting course: IT Audit

In conjunction with the new accounting major, CoBE is offering a new accounting elective this Fall 2007, that introduces students to IT audit and security concepts. Students will gain an understanding and appreciation of the IT environment of an organization, including computer operations, data management systems, systems development and maintenance activities, e-commerce systems, enterprise systems, fraud and fraud detection in an IT environment, and compliance auditing using Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Software.
