Projects & General Information
Here is all of the projects that UHHSA will be working on throughout the year. These projects are of huge interest to UHHSA because it has been expressed that these are projects of great importance to fellow students. These projects are subject to change and it is encouraged that this page be visited regularly to check for updates.
1) New Student Orientation [August/January]
Thanks to New Student Programs, each semester begins with a new student orientation! At the new student orientation, orientation leaders facilitate activities and events throughout the first week before school begins. These activities and events help new students get ready for their college experience, meet new people, and just have fun!
2) Back 2 School Bash [September 12, 2009]
3) Survey Days: Free Pizza [November 3-4, 2009]
UHHSA would like to ask you a few questions. Would you mind filling out a survey?! If you do, via the UHHSA Outreach Committee, we would like to offer you a free slice of pizza (courtesy of Big Island Pizza). Fill out a survey on either our computers, or good old fashioned paper and pen!
4) Malama Kanaloa [November 14, 2009]
Come celebrate with us at our Malama Kanaloa event, a Festival Focusing on Our Ocean! This will be our first annual Malama Kanaloa Festival here at UH Hilo. This event will feature guest speakers, several presentations, and performances. This event is open and free to the community! Please stop by the Campus Center Plaza on Saturday November 14th to celebrate the First Annual Mamala Kanaloa Festival!

5) Oh Hell Study Hall Week [December 6-13, 2009]
The week before finals is the Oh Hell Study Hall week, where UHHSA provides after hours study hall areas. Computer labs and study rooms will be reserved between the hours of 10pm and 4am so that students who require time beyond regular Library hours have a place on campus to focus on their studying for finals. 6) Commencement Reception [December 19, 2009]
The Commencement Reception is an event where UHHSA is given an opportunity to honor the graduates of both fall and spring semesters every year.
