The science and physiology of scuba diving. The course explores the theory and practice of underwater diving. Commonly used equipment and safety considerations are covered. The course includes in-class instruction, underwater pool diving experience and open water diving. Students who successfully complete the course will receive PADI Open Water Diver certification.

Prerequisite(s): No less than a 3.0 average in all UHH courses, a certification from a physician and permission of the intructor.
Notes: May be taken only once. Additional charges for equipment rental and underwater diving may be incurred.
