Seoul Women’s University
Seoul Women’s University is located in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. The school was founded in December 1960 by the Presbyterian Church in Korea. You will need to be fluent in Korean in order to participate in their regular academic semester. They also are known for their four week “Bahrom Education” summer program that provides students to experience Korean culture, customs and language learning. Students interact with Korean students and participate in many interactive activities together.
Sungshin Women’s University

Sungshin Women’s University is located in Sung-book District of Seoul which is in the northern part of Seoul. Currently the University is composed of 7 colleges offering 35 major courses, and 5 graduate schools. About 13,000 students are currently enrolled while 680 staff and faculty members are serving at the University. As a women’s university, the school’s atmosphere is really refined and the student are friendly. Near the university, there are many other universities such as Korea University, so you can experience Korean student life.
Chung Ang University
This 88-year-old private university is located along the Han River which skirts the city of Seoul. Chung Ang Unioversity (CAU) has 30,000 students on two campuses, one in Seoul and one in Ansung. It boasts 450 international students from 18 countries. Students who choose to study at CAU and qualify for their academic year program will receive a scholarship to cover their housing cost, and be eligible to receive a monthly stipend. CAU also hosts a three-week summer program which introduces students to various aspects of Korea – language, culture, customs, with afternoon field trips around the city.
Youngsan University

The main campus is located in Yangsan City, South Gyeongsang province; a branch campus is in nearby Busan (a coastal city and the second largest in Korea). Youngsan University is a private university. The Weather is pretty warm in winter and not as hot as other Korean cities in the summer. Both campuses are far from downtown, but Busan is very attractive city with many famous places.
Kyungpook National University
Kyungpook National University was founded in 1946 in the city of Daegu, located in the southeastern Korea. Its 2.5 million inhabitants make Daegu the third largest city in the country. The university has 13 colleges and 9 graduate schools, and is a fairly large university in Korean standards. Although the main language is Korean, they have a different array of classes taught in English. The school also offers a wide range of academic resources like an experimental forest, a museum, and an animal hospital, that can help the students improve their education.
Andong National University
Andong National University is located in Andong City. This school is a relatively new university. It was not given university status until 1991. The city of Andong is a small and quiet with around 180,000 inhabitants, and the university is also fairly small. ANU has 7 colleges, stretching from social sciences and natural sciences to arts and physical education. In 2003, it was recognized as the top university for school development in Korea.
Pai Chai University
In 1980, this university was started in the city of Taejon. It currently consists of 7 colleges, offering degrees in 49 majors. Located at the foot of Yeonja Mountain in the central region of Korea, the campus offers beautiful scenery for its students. The university is founded on Christian faith, and educates their students accordingly, but it is open to anyone regardless of creed, faith, or nationality. Students can pursue various degrees in everything from Korean literature and language to international trade, and students can enjoy excellent student services like a post office, university radio, museum, and a multimedia center.
Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS)
Founded in 1954, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) is one of Korea’s finest institutions for foreign education. It has agreements with 107 universities in 51 countries, making it a truly international environment. Hankuk University of Foreign Studies has over 35 languages that can be studied at the institution. The University has seven colleges, which are English, social science, business, Occidental languages, law, and Oriental languages. Along with Korean professors, HUFS hosts over 90 foreign professors. So, this school offers studies in a diverse range of languages, like Italian, Russian, Persian and Scandinavian languages. This makes it one of the most diverse language institutions anywhere in the world. The university is located in Seoul, a world metropolis in every sense of the word. Being home to over 10 million people, the city offers everything a modern city can offer, but it is also known for its relative low crime rate.
Pusan National Universty
The main campus is located in Jangjeon-dong, Geumjeong-gu, Busan*. Busan is the second largest city in Korea. Busan is a city of 5 million people and is located on the southern edge of Korean. Busan enjoys four distinct seasons and never gets too cold or hot. Busan has a reputation of having great culture and tourism. The Pusan National University (PNU) was founded in 1946. PNU has grown in major institution and today is one of the top universities in Korea. The school occupies 800 acres of land at the base of Mt. Geujeong. The college is built of twelve colleges, two schools, and six graduate schools.

Hanyang University
Founded in 1939, Hanyang University has developed rapidly to where it is now recognized as one of the top ranking universities in Korea. Hanyang University has 40,000 students on two campuses, one in Seoul and one in Ansan. The Seoul campus consists of 13 colleges, 15 divisions, 1 disciplinary group and 18 departments. The Ansan campus was opened in 1979, and is located in the central part of the West Coast, which is an area eager to develop into a hub of commerce in Northeast Asia. The Ansan campus has successfully implemented various campus development strategies and currently plays a vital role as a model of education reform for other higher learning institutions. The Ansan campus consists of 7 colleges, 16 divisions and 1 department.
Sookmyung Women’s University
As Korea's first private college for women, Sookmyung Women's University has played an important role in the history of Korean women. Since its founding, Sookmyung has educated women under a philosophy that it pursues "modesty, wisdom, and justice" along with the indigenous educational goal of establishing national identity and legitimacy.
In 1996, Sookmyung's 21 research centers were reorganized into just ten organizational units to bolster their competitiveness. In addition, the Graduate Schools of International Relations, Music Therapy (1996), Information & Communications, Culture & Fine Arts (1997), TESOL (1999), Cyber Cosmetology Industries and Cyber Education Engineering (2000) were newly opened. Land was purchased from the national and ward governments to enlarge the campus.
The campus is located in the Yongsan area, in downtown Seoul where the U.S. military base is located and most of the U.S. embassy personnel stay.
