Fee
No program fee is needed. However, a participant is expected to pay one’s airfare and all living costs, such as textbook, health insurance, domestic transportation fee and the cost for room and board. The total amount of charge for the room and board (including breakfast and dinner) in Hiroshima International Center will be around 52,000 yen for entire 3 weeks.
Pre-requisite
The participant needs to have completed at least the Elementary level of Japanese which is equivalent to approximately 4 semesters of Japanese language courses at university level. Japanese language courses offered in the program is designed for the intermediate level of Japanese language students at your institution.
The Maximum Number of Enrollment
Up to 10 students from our exchange partner institutions.
Credits
Although this is a trial program and cannot issue any official grade and credit this time, we will issue the Certificate for the completion of the program and the record of transcript with grades and the information about students contact hours for both Japanese language sessions and a series of lectures and discussions on Japanese culture and society. The total amount of teaching hours for the Intermediate Japanese language course will be 60 hours (50 minutes class x 60 sessions) , and for the Japanese cultural study will be 15 hours (90 minutes class x 6 sessions and 3 hours of cultural activities) .
Important Notice
We will regrettably need to limit the applicants who can enter Japan by June 25 with visa exemption and can stay in Japan for 3 weeks. This means, only the applicants from the countries who do not need to obtain visa to participate in this short visit program can apply for the program. Currently, students who have your country’s citizenship are eligible to apply for this program.
