1. Meet Key People
- Study Abroad Advisor: Make an appointment with a study abroad advisor in the Center for Global Education and Exchange to evaluate program options to go abroad for one or two semesters or for a summer. We recommend that you research more than one suitable program that interests you.
- Academic Advisor: Discuss with your academic advisor if study abroad is right for you. Obtain approval of a desired program and determine when the best time is for you to go abroad. Tip: communicate with your academic advisor on a frequent basis so you gain the support needed to study abroad.
- Financial Aid Counselor: If you are receiving financial aid, you must complete the Financial Aid for Study Abroad Form and schedule an appointment to meet with Ms. Kolby Santiago, financial aid counselor. Please note that in most cases, you will not receive your financial aid prior to leaving or early enough to pay for deposits, airfare, etc. If awarded, communicate to Ms. Santiago any study abroad scholarships you may have received.
