Suggestions and questions may be directed to Academic Computing Services (ACS) by email or by calling 808-974-7768. TDD users may call 808-933-3334 and ask the operator to connect you to ACS. It is often the case that ACS may not be able to answer the telephone or TDD, so please ask the UH Hilo operator to email ACS with your particular needs.
UH Hilo has been steadily upgrading access to technology in all of our classrooms and labs. Programs such as "PW Speak" and "ZoomText" have been loaded in key locations throughout the UH Hilo campus with more on the way. Scanners and large screen monitors will also be available.
One distraction free testing room with a PC is available.
Many computers have connections in the front for headset and microphones. We recommend you bring your own headset with a microphone to insure availability and cleanliness.
The UH Hilo Mookini Library has one PC in the middle of the main floor setup for people with special needs. Please see the library staff for any questions or assistance.
In the library lobby, there is a telephone with a TDD available.
For staff assistance or for more information please check the University Disability Services web site or email Susan Sarachi of the UH Hilo University Disability Services.
