Pay and Color Printing
UHH Home > Faculty & Staff > Office of Technology & Distance Learning > Academic Computing Services (ACS)
Note: The new style Student ID cards issued at the Campus Center can be used in place of the "Single" card.
Pay Printing
Printing is not for free in most locations. Currently black
and white pages cost 7 cents each and must be paid for with a "Single
card" which can be purchased in the library on the main floor at a the
machine shown below.
Since all pay-printing locations run in a similar manner, it is suggested you learn to use the print stations in the library in preparation for printing in other locations.
If you print a job, but fail to pay for it, there is no
charge. This job will eventually expire. In most cases you will have
up to two hours to pay for and pick up your print jobs before they are
erased.
To start the printing process, insert your Single card into the card reader.
Places you can pick up printouts are:
- Library Classroom
- Library PC Lab
- Library Voyager Terminals
- Cyber Cafe
- Marine Science PC Lab
- LS-1 Statistics Lab (Sorry Closed!)
- UCB101
- UCB103
- UCB104
- UCB105
- Hale Kauanoe Student Housing Lab
- CAFNRM Lab
- Business Lab
Printing for the Campus
Center Mezzanine and the Sodexho
PC's comes out in the Cyber Cafe.
Other locations may be free but are very tightly controlled by their respective departments if, indeed, printing is available at all.
Color Printing
Color printing is available at 75 cents per page from any PC on the main floor of the Mookini Library.
The picture right shows the color printer on the left,
the black and white printer in the middle and the printer station PC
on the right. Color and black & white print jobs all show up on the
printer station PC. Your Single print card will be charged the
appropriate amount. The cost is summarized on the screen before you are
charged. Quitting before printing will not cost you anything. Print jobs not
paid for will automatically be deleted 2 hours after submission.
