Instructor of Geography (Environmental Studies & Science) (#73419T) Position Description
The recruitment for this position vacancy has concluded.
UH Hilo, College of Arts & Sciences, special funds, temporary, 9-month, non-renewable, non-tenure track, full-time appointment to begin August 2013, pending position clearance and availability of funding.
Teach 12-credit load each semester in introduction to physical geography, environmental impact assessment, natural resources, and related courses in areas of Instructor’s of expertise.
A master’s degree in geography, environmental studies/science, or related field from an accredited university by the time of employment; ability to teach introduction to physical geography, natural resources, and environmental impact assessment.
Ability to teach in more than one of the following courses: Climatology, Weather and Climate in Hawaiʻi, and upper-division courses in applicant’s areas of expertise. Experience teaching in a multi-cultural setting and a doctoral degree in geography or a closely related field.
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
