Awesome Internship Project
In my opinion, the computer science program at UH Hilo is one of the best there is not only because of the knowledgeable and committed professors but also because of the awesome learning opportunities I have been exposed to from my summer internship projects.
One of my internship projects was with W.M. Keck Observatory where I had to create a fast, searchable, and user-friendly database which will be used to store numerous images. That project lasted six weeks, during which I learned new programs and operating systems. I also learned the importance of good teamwork and felt extremely honored to have learned from some of the best Astronomy experts in the world.
