I chose to attend UH Hilo because I was looking for a smaller college and wated to remain relatively close to my family. Receiving the Chancellor's Scholarship, a four-year tuition waiver, finalized my decision to enroll at UH Hilo.

UH Hilo provides students with a fantastic living laboratory. The Big Island has so much to offer students in terms of hands-on experience. An active volcano, telescopes atop Mauna Kea, the Pacific Ocean just a few miles away, are among these experiences.

Professors at UH Hilo really get to know their students by name. This proves essential when students need recommendations for graduate school, scholarships, or work.

I feel that I was given a great education at UH Hilo and I could not imagine having attended anywhere else.
