After earning my bachelors in Sociology at UH Hilo, I returned to enroll in the Teacher Education Program (T.E.P) for elementary education.
UH Hilo’s T.E.P fully prepared me for the teaching field. The cohort professors tailor-made the program to accommodate all of the educational needs of teachers today as well as address all of the other issues that are so important for teachers to know. The small-town feel in my college years allowed me to receive a world-class education with knowledge and skills that were beyond my expectations. UH Hilo is a special place where I really felt like part of the ohana.
After graduating from T. E. P, I was confident and truly ready to not only interview for teaching positions, but also to teach as well.
