Important announcement

Effective December 31, 2008, Pat Williams-Clayburn will be retiring, and Zach Street, will be the new coordinator of the UH Hilo NSE Program as of January 2nd, 2009.

The University of Hawaii at Hilo maintains a "campus" News and Events page with sports events, holidays, activities, and more.

The Office of the Registrar maintains the Academic Calendar, Final Exam Schedules, Tuition and Fees Payment Information, and Class Availability lists. Note: Class Availability can also be accessed from the UHH homepage's "Academics" link, as well as via "MyUH Portal once you have been admitted and your MyUH Portal access set-up.

The UH Hilo Housing Office maintains the deadlines for on-campus housing. The Spring 2009 "priority" application deadline for UH Hilo on-campus housing is Friday, 10/10/08. Applications for Spring 2009 were being accepted by the Housing Office starting 9/2/08. On-campus housing can not be guaranteed.

August 15 F Holiday. Campus closed

August 18 M NSE "mandatory" Orientation (Session 1) for new, incoming students. Campus Center Building, Room 301 from 9:30am-noon. Food provided.
August 21 TH Safety Presentation. Campus Center, room 301. 10am-11:30am
August 22 F "Mini-make-up NSE Orientation." NSE Office. Campus Center, room 313. 3:00pm-4pm.
August 25 M First day of classes.
August 25 M NSE Orientation (Session 2) for new, incoming students. Campus Center Building, Room 301 from noon-1:30pm. [Students with classes from noon-1:30p,should notify the NSE coordinator they will not be able to attend Session 2. However, if class is dismissed early, students are expected to attend this orientation session. Content of sessions 1 and 2 are different.] Food provided.
Aug 29 F Last day to add a class via the internet
August 30 Sa Hapuna Beach trip. Sign-up info available at NSE Office.
Aug 30-Sep 5 Sa-F Late class add period--with instructor permission only
Sep 1 M Per Housing Office, Spring 2009 on-campus apps accepted beginning today.
Sep 1 M Holiday. Campus closed
Sep 4 Th NSE/International Student Reception. Campus Center Cafeteria. 4:30pm-6:30pm. Sign-up at NSE Office by Friday, 8/29/08.
Sept 6 Sa Atlantis Submarine/Kona trip. (All day) Sign-up by Monday, 8/25. $27 fee.
Sep 14 Su Last day to drop class without "W"
Sep 14 Su No tuition refunds will be issued after this date
Sep 15 M Tuition/fees payment due
Oct 17 F Last Day to Withdraw From Courses with "W"
