View toward the ocean from Keokea Beach Park.Keokea Beach Park is located near the 27 mile marker on Highway 270 in North Kohala. Swimming is very poor and limited to a small cover that was created by a manmade bolder breakwater. The waves are usually large and should be considered very dangerous. The powerful waves also hide large bolders that are just under the surface of the water. Strong currents are the norm. Good viewpoints provide the means to take great pictures.

Man-made breakwater build in Keokea Beach Park.Near Pololu Beach, the main advantages that this location has are the easy access and full facilities which include picnic tables and restrooms.
