When is 2013 Fall New Student Orientation?
Wednesday, August 21 (Check in and pre-Orientation activities)
Check in throughout the day and pick up your Orientation pass, Welcome Bag, and schedule. If you haven't had a chance to pre-register for Orientation, we'll be available to assist you in a late registration.
Join us Wednesday evening as we have an Evening of Aloha and welcome you into our Vulcan 'ohana (family).
Thursday, August 22 - Sunday, August 25
Fall 2013 New Student Orientation will start on Thursday, August 22nd with Convocation, the official beginning to your academic journey here at UH Hilo.
Orientation will be filled with fun activities, events, and workshops all designed to Create Connections with other new students, with our amazing UH Hilo faculty, and with numerous campus resources and the awesome staff that run them. We'll also have workshops which will help to set you up to be Academically Successful here a UH Hilo, and of course there will be lots and lots of Vulcan spirit as we welcome you into our university 'Ohana.
We're excited, we can't wait to meet you!
Other important Dates
Monday, August 19
- International Students may move into the Residence Halls starting at 8:00 a.m.
- Free Shuttle Service available from Hilo International Airport to Campus
(for International Students only)
Tuesday, August 20
- All other incoming students may move into the Residence Halls starting at Noon
- Free Shuttle Service from the Airport to Campus. Reserve your spot today!
- Required meeting for new International Students
Wednesday, August 21
- Orientation Check-In and On Site Registration
- Placement Testing
- Evening of Aloha - Limited Seating. Sign up for this event when you register for Orientation
