AstroTalk - Kevin Grazier

Kevin Grazier (Jet Propulsion Laboratory, CalTech) will give a public "AstroTalk" on the UH Hilo campus on Friday, February 8th. Grazier's talk, scheduled for 7 pm at the UCB Room 100, is entitled "The Science of Dune"

Frank Herbert’s Dune is a classic of Science Fiction, arguably a classic of American literature. It has withstood the literary test of time, but how does it hold up scientifically? Kevin R. Grazier is both author and editor for a new anthology of essays which examines just that. Join us as he discusses The Science of Dune.

Kevin R. Grazier, Ph.D. is a planetary scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He is also the science advisor for the PBS animated series The Zula Patrol, as well as the Sci-Fi Channel series Eureka and Battlestar Galactica.
