UH Hilo offers free programs to help incoming students get started
Student Support Services at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo is offering two free summer programs to help incoming students prepare for successful university careers. Application deadline is Wednesday, June 18, 2003.
“The Summer Start Program” is aimed at students transferring to UH Hilo from other colleges and to students who have been away from school for some time. The six-session series begins on June 23.
“Computer Skills for Students” concentrates on the kinds of computer knowledge required to function in today’s university setting. No previous knowledge of computers is required. The eight-session series begins on June 26.
Sessions are scheduled so that it is possible to attend both program series. Participants must already be UH Hilo students or have applied for summer or fall admission.
