Free debt relief workshop offered in Waikoloa

The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo North Hawai‘i Education and Research Center (NHERC) is offering a free workshop on Got Debt?, to be held on Saturday, October 30, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. at the Waikoloa Community Church.

The workshop is presented by Barbara L. Franklin, a practicing attorney in Honoka‘a specializing in bankruptcy law. She will discuss the many aspects of a debt burden as well as debt relief options, federal law assistance, dealing with mortgage servicers, setting priorities with existing bills, and bankruptcy.

This public service workshop is being offered in accordance with Franklin’s designation as a debt relief agency under the federal bankruptcy code.
