Three UH Hilo students receive IFSA Global Scholarships

Three University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo students have received IFSA Global Scholarships to study abroad in the Fall 2010 semester.

Bria Callaway is a senior anthropology and performing arts major. The Kealakehe High School graduate is currently participating in the Semester at Sea program.

Christopher Kopp is a junior biology major. He is also a graduate of Kealakehe High School and is attending Beijing Normal University in China for the academic year.

Ruby Harris is a sophomore Japanese studies major. She is attending Tokyo Gakugei University in Japan for the academic year.

Each recipient received $2,500 per semester abroad. Upon successful completion of the program, all recipients are responsible for a community service project to share the benefits of their study abroad, and to encourage future students to study abroad.
