Film series on Northern Ireland conflicts

The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service is offering a short course based on films dealing with the violent conflict in Northern Ireland known as “The Troubles.” Films include “The Crying Game,” “The Boxer,” “Omagh” and “Bloody Sunday.”

The five-week course meets on Wednesdays from 5-7 p.m. from September 30 to October 28. Tuition is $35. Registration is ongoing and space is limited. Call CCECS at 974-7664 for registration or more information.
