For Immediate Release

Join Rob Nunally and Mike Longo of Onomea Tea Company for a two-class series that will immerse participants in a full experience of tea. The classes are offered through the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service and will be held on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., and April 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $40 plus a $10 fee for materials, and is limited to 12 students.

The first class includes an introduction to tea and how it is grown and processed, a tour of the plantation and a tasting. The second class will be a hands-on experience, where students will get to pick and process their very own tea. Please note that tea production is weather and supply dependent, and may be rescheduled if necessary.
