“The Power of Superfoods” comes to UH Hilo

The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) is offering a non-credit, two-part class on “The Power of Superfoods: 10 Foods for Better Health.”
Instructed by Mary Bowman-Dement, a registered dietician at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center, the class will discuss the 10 top nutritional performers that can transform a person’s diet. Students will learn about and sample superfoods, including simple meal planning, a cooking demonstration and a tour of a local diversified farm.
The class will be held on Saturdays, February 21 and 28, from 10am-1pm at the Manono Campus, Building 381, Room 16. Cost is $40 plus a $10 meal and tour fee payable to the instructor at the first class.
