UH Hilo to host presentation on information technology and business

The University of Hawai`i at Hilo hosts a presentation on information technology-related issues impacting business people, entrepreneurs, managers and professionals on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in EKH 127. Admission is free and open to the public. Gretchen de Pillis, president of Pure-Force Enterprises (PFE), will discuss "some things you can't afford NOT to know about information technology now."
PFE is a consulting firm offering services in areas that include security, application development, process re-engineering, organization redesign, and change management. The client base spans several sectors, including government, construction, insurance, Web development, manufacturing, and retail. PFE recently enhanced its client list with the addition of Pure-Force Enterprises, the largest industrial painting contractor in the United States, and an approved vendor for the CIA and the Department of Defense.
de Pillis earned her bachelor of science degree at Cal Poly Pomona. She holds more than 30 technical certifications, including the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) credential. MCSE is the premier certification for professionals who analyze the business requirements and design and implement the infrastructure for business solutions based on the Microsoft Windows(r) 2000 platform and Microsoft server software.
