“Domestic Violence and Filipina/o Families in Hawaiʻi” presentation at UH Hilo

The Filipino Advisory Committee at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo invites the public to its second event for the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo Filipino American Heritage Month. “Domestic Violence and Filipina/o Families in Hawaiʻi” takes place on Thursday, October 16, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in UH Hilo’s Campus Center 301.

The event will include a presentation by Gender Equity Specialist Jennifer Rose, J.D. of UH Manoa. Information will include recognizing various aspects of domestic violence, discussion of key topics/ issues relevant to the Filipina/o community in Hawaiʻi, and methods of violence prevention.
