Miyamoto to be a jurist at print exhibition in New Zealand

Wayne Miyamoto, a professor of art at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, will serve on the jury panel and the awards selection jury as the Pacific Rim International Print Exhibition opens the inaugural show in its new home at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand.

The exhibition was featured biennially at UH Hilo from 1993 through 2005 and features artists from more than 200 countries and cultures located within the Pacific Rim. It will be featured at the Art Gallery of the School of Fine Arts at the University of Canterbury from October 6 through November 14, 2008.

Miyamoto, chair of the UH Hilo Art Department, has also been invited as a visiting artist to the University of Canterbury during August 2008.
