Rosen to present Flock Theory at UH Hilo

Devan Rosen, acting assistant professor of communication at the University of Hawai`i at Manoa, will present his research on Flock Theory on Friday, March 10, from 3-5 p.m. in K-127 on the University of Hawaii at Hilocampus. The presentation is sponsored by the UH Hilo College of Business and Economics.
Rosen’s research on Flock Theory was written into an episode of CBS-TV’s crime drama NUMB3RS that aired in November 2004. His research on organizational design and complexity theory introduces new ways of thinking about self-organizing systems such as the Internet, terrorist groups, and Web sites such as "MySpace."
