Indo-Fijian poet to hold reading at UH Hilo

Mohit Prasad, an Indo-Fijian poet, will hold a reading at the University of Hawaii at Hiloon Wednesday, February 22, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Campus Center 301. The public is invited to attend.

Prasad, director of the Pacific Writing Forum at the University of South Pacific in Suva, Fiji, will read from two of his books of collected poetry, Eyes of the Mask (1998) and Eating Mangoes (2000), as well as from a number of manuscripts that are being readied for publication.

This presentation is sponsored by the UH Hilo Student Activities Council, with contributions by the UH Hilo Department of English, the Hawai‘i Literary Arts Council, and the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts.
