Deedri Zeehala (left), director of KE Anuenue AHEC, and Dr. Cecilia Mukai (right), director and chair of the University of Hawai`i at Hilo's Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program, present a $100 check to 2004 Hilo High School graduate Matthew Richard, winner of the "Hold Life Precious" poster contest at the recent Pulama I Ke Ola Healthcare Conference 2004 at UH Hilo. Winning the $50 second-place prize was Rachel Swartz-Gilbert from Waiakea HS, with Makamae Kalauli-Rowe taking third place and $25. In the "Hold Life Precious" essay contest, the top prize of $100 went to Ashlin Salmo. Kiley Grace took second place and $50, with third place and $25 going to Mandy Oliveira. All essay winners were from Ka`u High School.
