Three UH Hilo students receive nurserymen's scholarships

Three students majoring in horticulture at the University of Hawai'i at Hilo College of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resource Management have been awarded scholarships by the Big Island Association of Nurserymen.

Lora J. Schroder is the recipient of a $1,000 scholarship from BIAN for the Fall 2003 semester. Paul I. Banks and Allison A. Ohama each received $500 scholarships.

BIAN awards at least one scholarship annually to full-time students majoring in horticulture who maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or better. The deadline for applications for the Fall 2004 scholarship is June 30, 2004.
