Na Pua No`eau, the Center for Gifted and Talented Native
Hawaiian Children, located on the University of Hawaii at Hilo campus, is now accepting registrations from Hawaiian students in grades K-12 to attend its Super Saturday events.


The first event for students in grades K-5 is on October 18, 2003 from 8:00am to noon on the Hawai`i Community College Manono campus. Students will learn and participate in the many aspects of "Makahiki," from games, hula and chants, food and thankfulness, and gift giving.


Students in grades 6-12 will also meet on October 18 from 8:00am to 3:00pm on the UH Hilo campus at the College Hall parking lot. Students will explore the forests and learn to appreciate the richness of the land from yesterday, today and tomorrow.


Parents are invited to participate.


Forms may be picked up at the Na Pua No`eau Office, located on the Manono Campus, the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, or Queen Lili`uokalani Childrens Center.
