Project designer to discuss China-U.S. Center during address at UH Hilo

The proposed China-U.S. Center will be discussed during an address by the project's chief designer at the University of Hawai`i at Hilo on Monday, February 4, 2002. The talk by Professor Jinqui Zhang, is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. in Campus Center Room 306-307. The event is free and open to the public.


Zhang currently serves as senior architecture professor at Ching-Hua University and the China Northwest Building Design Institute. She has designed a number of major projects, including the Shaanxi Provincial Museum, the Drum Tower and the Bell Tower complex in Xian, China.


Zhang's speech will cover the distinct features of Feng-Shui and the traditional Chinese garden.
