UH Hilo Writing Placement Exam scheduled for Hilo and Kona

Students who have been accepted for admission and intend to enroll at the University of Hawai`i at Hilo are required to take the Writing Placement Exam. The exam must be taken and completed in order to satisfy the pre-requisite for enrollment in any 100-level English or ESL course at UH Hilo.
The exam will be administered in Hilo on Saturday, April 13, 2002 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the UH Hilo Campus Center Cafeteria. In Kona, the exam will be given on Saturday, April 20, 2002 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in Building 2 - Room 2 at the University of Hawai`i at West Hawai`i in Kealakekua.
Students interested in taking English 100 this summer are strongly urged to take this exam. Current UH Hilo students who have yet to take the exam are also urged to register.
Registration forms are available from Big Island high school college counselors, the UH Hilo Admissions Office, and the UH Hilo Humanities Division Office in EKH-124. Completed registration forms must be faxed to (808) 974-7736 or received by mail no later than April 8 for the Hilo exam, and April 15 for the Kona exam.
