Filipinas Entertainer of the Year at UH Hilo Oct 14

The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo Performing Arts Center presents Charmaine Clamor, winner of the Filipinas Entertainer of the Year, for one performance only on Friday, October 14 at 7:30 pm.
“Touted as one of America’s leading Filipina jazz and world vocalists, Charmaine Clamor, has earned her “Queen of Jazzipino” crown honestly. She has made a point of connecting with her cultural heritage by blending the soul and swing of American Jazz with traditional Filipino folk music, languages and instruments.” said Lee Dombroski, Performing Arts Center manager. “Charmaine's artistry has been featured on BBC's "The World" and NPR's "Weekend Edition," which described her music as "the perfect bridge of two cultures.”
This performance is presented in celebration of Filipino American History Month in conjunction with the UH Hilo Filipino Advisory Committee.
Tickets are reserved seating and priced at $20 General, $15 Discount and $10 UH Students/Children. Box Office hours are Tuesday - Friday, 9 a.m. -1 p.m.
Please note that due to construction on the UH Hilo campus, the Performing Arts Center’s weekday Box Office has been relocated to the back of the Theatre building in Room 141.
