A group of UHH students poising in front of a volleyball netResearch indicates that it is those activities and experiences outside the university classroom that have the greatest impact on a college student.  UHH students have the opportunity and related benefits of engaging faculty and other students in small settings.  Outside the classroom, students can experience the bonus of living in a unique location of extreme diversity, all of which is located on an island less than 150 miles across.

Students would find it very difficult to match even a part what the Big Island and UHH Housing has to offer at any other location.
