UH Board of Regents' policy on nondiscrimination and affirmative action.
The University of Hawai'i is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination on the basis of race, sex, age, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, disability, marital status, arrest and court record, sexual orientation or status as a covered veteran. The Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Coordinator investigates complaints filed by UHH employees and applicants for positions under campus complaint procedures.
UHH Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs
This office investigates complaints filed by UHH students and applicants for admission.
Unions
Three unions are represented at Hilo: HGEA, UHPA, and UPW. Contact your bargaining unit for assistance.
Governmental Agencies
Several state and federal agencies that can help you are listed in this brochure. In some cases, you must file a charge with a governmental agency before you can file a lawsuit.
