What is Prohibited?
Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended
Discrimination in employment (including, but not limited to, hiring, firing, upgrading, salaries, benefits, training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment) based on race, color, religion, national origin or sex (including treatment of pregnancy and/or related conditions).
Equal Pay Act of 1963, as amended
Discrimination in compensation ( including wage rate, overtime, sick and vacation pay, fringe benefits, including insurance, pension and retirement, profit sharing, bonus plans and credit union benefits on the basis of sex.
Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967
Discrimination in employment (including, but not limited to, hiring, firing, upgrading, salaries, benefits, training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment) against individuals who are at least 40 years of age.
Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990
Discrimination in employment (including, but not limited to, hiring, firing, upgrading, salaries, benefits, training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment) on the basis of disability.
Who is Covered?
All employees and applicants for positions.
How is a Complaint Made?
A formal complaint is initiated by filling a complaint form, obtainable from EEOC.
What is the Time Limit?
Three hundred (300) days from the date of the discriminatory harm.
