Professor Rogers teaches Japanese language and literature. His current research interests include modern Japanese fiction, drama and poetry. A recent book, Tokyo Stories: A Literary Stroll, was awarded the 2004 translation prize by the Keene Center of Japanese Culture, Columbia University.
