Hawaii Association of Student Life Advisors (HASLA)

The Hawaii Association of Student Life Advisors is an association of professionals that generally maintains the liaison with other professional associations in student affairs and student activities: student unions, student life, and co-curricular activities specifically.

Our Purpose

To promote professional relationships, personal networks and fellowship among professionals in student activities, student unions, student life, and the co-curricular activities field as a means to foster high standards of professional conduct and practices.

To advocate for, influence, and provide advice about the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and programs of local, regional, and national organizations and agencies dealing with student activities, student unions, student life, and co-curricular activities.

To promote and strengthen student activities, student unions, student life, and the co-curricular as vital parts of the educational mission in Hawaii.

To assist in the development of knowledge and skills among staff and students to improve their efficiency and effectiveness in the governance, management, and operation of student activities, student unions, student life, and co-curricular activities.

To provide a medium for sharing educational materials, professional best practices, and strategies among its members to cooperate in raising the standards for all who work in the co-curriculum.
